Ozark star Julia Garner has landed her next leading role, according to reports.
As Ozark gears up for its fourth and final season, one of its breakout stars is looking even further ahead, with Julia Garner – who plays Ruth Langmore – reportedly signing on to front an upcoming psychological thriller.
According to Deadline, Garner will play the lead in Apartment 7A, of which we know very little about.
Details about the plot for Apartment 7A are being kept firmly under wraps for the time being, but it’s reported that A Quiet Place‘s John Krasinski and Allyson Seeger will produce the movie under their Sunday Night banner.
Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller’s Platinum Dunes is also on board.

Natalie Erika James is attached to direct the thriller, after co-writing the latest script with Christian White. The first draft of Apartment 7A was written by Skylar James.
In other, more definitive news, Julia Garner’s Ozark co-star Jason Bateman recently confirmed that he does indeed know how the series will ultimately end.
“I do know where everything is going to end,” he said (via IndieWire). “I was interested in the big question [showrunner Chris Mundy] has the opportunity to answer: Are they going to get away with it, or are they going to pay a bill?
“What does he want to message to the audience about the consequences of what the Byrdes have done – or lack thereof?” he teased.

“We had some great conversations about that, and he’s got really good ideas about that. Specifically, what kind of happens at the end of the last episode: I know, and it’s great.”
Ozark‘s final 14-episode season, which will be split into two parts, will premiere later this month.
Ozark is available now on Netflix.
